UNESCO Almaty opens a call for contributions

The UNESCO Almaty Cluster Office invites contributors of graphic content to UNESCO Almaty.

If you would like to participate in the promotion of sustainable development (SD) with UNESCO, then you can send your artworks (photographs, illustrations, collages, etc.) that reflect the priority themes of UNESCO: education, social and human sciences, natural sciences, culture, communication and information. The best art pieces will be further used on the website, social networks or in printed materials of UNESCO Almaty.

Who can participate?
Individuals who are at least 18 years old and who are citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Technical requirements
Digital images of your works must correspond to 1200 x 1600 (or 1600 x 1200) pixels and must not exceed 10 megabytes. Each image should be presented as a separate file in JPEG format, and also contain the selected theme, author's last and first name in the title, as shown in this example: Education_Arystanov-Madiyar.jpeg.

Rights and ownership
By submitting your personal work to UNESCO Almaty, you agree to grant UNESCO Almaty free of charge the right to use it in any manner, which includes but not limits the right to publish, adapt, distribute, copy or display contributor’s work in printed or electronic media.

In its turn, UNESCO Almaty agrees to mention the full name of the chosen contributor when his/her work is used on website, social media or other related to UNESCO Almaty sources.

You can send your artworks to this email: a.khvan(at)unesco.org by filling out the subject line as “Artwork for UNESCO Almaty”. The submission deadline is 1 October 2017. Please note that artworks not corresponding to all of the above-mentioned requirements will not be considered.
