The UNESCO Cluster Office in Almaty has published a new handbook that aims to present in an accurate yet succinct way the main conventions and declarations elaborated by or under the aegis of UNESCO in the field of culture in Russian language.Legal instruments enable States to more effectively protect all forms of culture. With the adoption of the Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions, UNESCO now possesses a comprehensive series of standard-setting instruments comprising seven conventions and two declarations.
Information on practical tools and measures developed by UNESCO in cooperation with other partner organizations complements this handbook, in order to help and guide any State or interested entity in protecting all forms of culture.
